Going out on the town in Windermere and Bowness

Windermere Nightlife!

If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, then you couldn’t be in a better place – you can get both in abundance in the Lakes.

The best places to be seen in Bowness and Windermere.

While the Lake District might be more well-known for its wildlife than its nightlife, there are still plenty of places you can get glammed up for and go partying.

Whether you want to sip exotically named cocktails, cut a rug to a live band or laugh yourself silly at a comedy night, you don’t have to head to the big city to have a good time.

The Fizzy Tarte

They take their cocktail mixing seriously at The Fizzy Tarte. Chock-full of fresh ingredients and the finest spirits, the drinks are impressively crafted, the mixologists are expertly trained, and the results are unforgettable – if you don’t have one too many, that is.

There are all the classics on offer – Porn Star Martini, Long Island Iced Tea, and Rum Punch – but you can also take it up a notch and order one of their Top Tarte cocktails, which include extra ingredients to tease your taste buds into submission.

Designated drivers needn’t despair either – there are mocktails too.

Fancy yourself as a bit of a mic-slinger? Book yourself into the private karaoke party pod.

Want tasty food to soak up the booze? There’s plenty to get your teeth into on the extensive menu. And if you fancy laughing like a drain, they even host the odd comedy night.

Lago Wine & Cheese

If you like your nights out on the more sophisticated side, then the small but perfectly formed Lago Wine & Cheese is the place to go. What’s on the menu? Divine cocktails and mocktails, delicious natural wines and a wide range of spirits, plus nibbles and decadent locally sourced charcuterie and cheese boards to share.

The owners know everything there is to know about the food and drink they serve, and will even create a cocktail for you using your own favourite flavours if you ask them nicely.

And, if you’re lucky, you might even be entertained by live music as you sip your Negronita. Bottoms up.

Easy Breeze

Amazing street food, seriously good cocktails, live music and DJ sets, free pool, live sports and good vibes – what’s not to love? The Easy Breeze in bustling Bowness is party central. It’s been described as ‘like a Manchester bar in the heart of the Lakes’.

The staff are renowned for their friendliness and great service, so if you have a penchant for a Passionfruit Mojito, a craving for a Cosmo, or like the sound of a Limoncello Spritz, their marvellous mixologists will sort you out in two shakes.

There’s also an array of beers, wines and spirits to quench your thirst, and if it all gets a bit too much, they’ll even make you a nice cup of tea.
