What’s on in the Lake District during the October half-term?

Planning an Autumn trip to the Lakes with the family for the October half term? Perfect. There’s so much going on – and the good news is it won’t be as crowded as it is in the summer months.

The glorious landscape is changing – shedding its summer wardrobe and dressing up in its magnificent autumn colours. The pubs and restaurants are warm and welcoming (ideal for sitting out any sudden showers in too). Our cottages are cosy and relaxing.

And there’s no shortage of fun activities going on, indoors and out, to keep the whole family entertained – everything from spooky Halloween happenings and aquatic antics to amazing magic shows, traditional county shows and dark sky adventures – and so much more besides.
