Join our experienced, knowledgeable Ranger as they lead you around our amazing WOW Trail!

The Wow trail is a 4.5-mile walking trail showcasing the wonders of Whinlatter, England’s only true mountain forest.

Be prepared to enjoy fantastic views, stunning surroundings plus wildlife spotting in our  woodland wildlife hide – what will you see? You’ll also take time to pause, reflect, and reset in our wellbeing area, a beacon of peace deep within the forest before discovering one of the best views in the Lake District at our viewpoint!

This walk will have a Red Squirrel theme with our Ranger helping you to spot Red Squirrels and signs of them along the way. 

The guided walk start at 11am and last approximately three hours. If you’d like to join us, make sure to book you place with our friendly team in the Visitor Centre. Spaces are limited.
