New Year’s Day Dip 2024 @ Fell Foot! Whether you’re ready to take the plunge in Windermere or just dip your toe, both beginners and seasoned pros are most welcome at this event.

For those choosing to swim, please note the course is a short one (maximum of 40 metres around a jetty). Swimmers can however do this course multiple times in the time available during their wave if you wish.

Wetsuit hire is available for £5 and there’ll be a hot drink and shower waiting for you afterwards at the Active Base.

Don’t forget a towel, a warm hat, gloves and plenty of warm clothing for after your swim.

This is a free event again for 2024 (normal parking charges apply).

  • The event has a dedicated safety team and safety paddlers will be out on the water with you.
  • Due to the safety and medical provisions provided on the day, we would appreciate any donations (please bring cash if you wish to make a donation).
