Kendal will be abuzz with activity on Thursday, November 16th.
Not only is it the first day of the world-famous Kendal Mountain Festival, but it’s also the day that Christmas kicks off in the ‘Gateway to the Lakes’.
As darkness falls, a parade will set off from the festival basecamp in Abbott Hall Park and make its way up to the marketplace in the town centre.
There will be live music and other entertainment, followed by the lighting up of the Christmas tree at around 5 pm.
