Then you need to get yourself to Brockhole on Windermere in June. You can swim from 250 metres up to 10K, so there’s a distance to suit all abilities and ages. Go on, grab your cossie and take the plunge.

Choose from six different open water swimming distances to suit all ages, abilities, and level of experience. Whether you’re looking to get fit, improve your time, soak up some nature or raise money for charity, you‘ll be part of an amazing collective experience – guaranteed. Dive into nature and join us at the UK’s biggest open water swimming event. So what do you say – see you on the shore?

From the official Olympic open water distance – a challenging 10K, to a family-friendly or beginners 250m, there’s a swim for everyone in the Great North Swim. Whether you’re challenging yourself, raising money for charity, or just swimming for fun, you’ll find yourself taking to the lake with thousands of like-minded water-lovers. And what a setting to do it in.
