Home > Lake District Events > Forty Farms Outdoor Exhibition Trail @ Low Sizer Barn

A unique outdoor exhibition for the whole family, based on the award-winning book, Forty Farms by Lakeland Photographer of the Year, Amy Bateman, and in association with H&H.

Come and explore this fascinating exhibition, set along Low Sizergh Barn’s accessible farm and woodland trail, with a quiz for children to complete along the way.

Amy’s award-winning photographs bring to life the local farming history and capture the dedication and passion of the farming families, whether continuing the traditions of Herdwick sheep grazing in the Lake District uplands or forging new futures for farming with cutting-edge innovation in world-class cheesemaking.

You can visit this unique, free exhibition at the award-winning Low Sizergh Barn on the outskirts of Kendal. An organic dairy farm with an award-winning farm shop and café, Low Sizergh is itself one of the Forty Farms, and the outdoor exhibition gives a unique insight into farming in Cumbria, in a setting that carries visitors deep into the Lake District landscape at the heart of the Forty Farms journey.

The exhibition runs from November until Easter 2024
