Parkrun – Fell Foot, Newby Bridge! Get fit, make friends, enjoy the scenery. Organised by friendly volunteers, the Fell Foot, Newby Bridge 5k parkrun is open to all abilities and ages and takes place every Saturday morning at 9am (just make sure you’re registered and bring a scannable barcode).

Taking in a wildflower meadow and stunning views along the shore of Windermere, this undulating, multi-surface, figure-of-eight route is a satisfying and rewarding challenge to get your day off to a great start. It can get a bit muddy in places so make sure you bring trail shoes or road running trainers. And when your run is done, you’re welcome to join the organisers and other runners for a well-earned brew at the Boathouse Café by the lake during the summer months. Or Café Ambio in Backbarrow during the winter.

A few things to note:

  • Please arrive on foot or by public transport if you can.
  • Children under 11 must be accompanied by a parent or appropriate adult.
  • You’re welcome to run with one dog on a short, non-extendable lead.
  • Always give way to other park visitors.
