Home > Lake District Events > February Half Term Nestbox Trail at Beetham Nurseries

Keep the kids entertained at Beetham Nurseries this February half term and celebrate National Nestbox Week!

British birds are short of nesting holes, so Beetham Nurseries wants to help give our feathered friends a home.

The Trail:

Join our activity trail through the Garden Centre with your young twitchers, finding out facts about birds and their habitats.

Pick up a free trail sheet from our Information Desk and set off on a journey of discovery with your little ones.

The trail includes bird activity and identification stations. It takes place outside, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

Whilst you’re here, make a day of it and stop by the Garden Cafe and The Wood Fired Kitchen for a bite to eat and join in our bird-themed colouring competition. Drinks, cakes and light lunches with family-friendly options are available.

At the end of the trail, we’ll gift you a free* Paint Your Own Nestbox Set (whilst stocks last, one per household), ready to be painted and set up to attract more birds into your garden!
