We think it’s safe to say this is Paddington’s favourite festival. In fact, you might even get to meet him if you’re lucky. Celebrating all things marmalade, the annual Dalemain World Marmalade Festival is the place to be if you’re a fan of the orange stuff.

You can taste marmalade, talk about marmalade, listen to marmalade experts talking about marmalade, and even buy marmalade, if that’s your jam. Oh, and the winner of The Best Marmalade on the Planet will be announced too. Taking place annually in the gorgeous surroundings of the Dalemain Estate near Penrith, the festival was originally set up to celebrate community and raise money for charity.

Every year, marmalade enthusiasts from all over the world, both artisan makers and home-made dabblers submit their jars for judging in various categories. You can see the 1000s of jars on display around the house, explore the gardens, and even ask questions at the Marmalade Question Time.
