While the building and service might hark back to another time, the sound and picture quality is thoroughly modern, with two screens showing a wide range of new releases, occasional Hollywood classics, and live streams of theatre and concert performances. A visit to the Alhambra is an ideal way to relax in the evening after a day out on the fells, or escape from a rain-soaked afternoon.
