Presented by Windermere Science Festival

Saturday 11 May at 7:30 pm

Dr Anna Ploszajski is an award-winning materials scientist, author, presenter, comedian and storyteller. She’s a materials generalist, equally fascinated by metals, plastics, ceramics, glasses and substances from the natural world. Her work centres around making science accessible and fun for audiences.

Join Anna on a material odyssey as she recounts a scientist’s adventure through the world of craft through stories, stand-up comedy and demonstrations. Featuring local makers, artists, movers and shakers, this is an exploration of the material world from the sub-atomic to the sublime.

Will it be sciencey? Yes, but not too much, hopefully. Is it overly-ambitious? Almost certainly. Will you come away inspired, having ordered a sewing machine and a full suede welding suit online? Only time (and booking a ticket on the materials odyssey) will tell.

A £1.50 transaction fee applies.  Tickets are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
