Meet, Create, Innovate: The Hub at The Heaning Estate

To book The Hub, please contact us and let us know your needs.

The Hub is a spectacular addition to The Heaning Estate. With glorious views from its full-length French windows, this airy, light and modern space is available for hire exclusively for our guests. We've already hosted a 50th birthday, two yoga retreats, several corporate staycations, a family reunion and many formal dinners and family celebrations. The main room is endlessly flexible. Whatever you want to host, we can accommodate it.

The gorgeous interiors have been pulled together by our Anglo-Danish interior designer, Yasmin Ae Yung Lyon. Our beautiful Scandinavian wooden furniture is a cut above anything you'll find elsewhere, with considered lighting, beautiful finishes and attention to detail of the highest quality.

The full-length windows open up to bring in air and frame the view. With incredible WiFi connections, and surround sound, you have all you need to make first-class presentations to your team. You’ve just got to write them now!

The Hub has a fully-fitted catering kitchen tucked away out of sight, designed in consultation with a Michelin-starred chef. Breakfast, lunch, formal dinner, cold buffet, light meal or gastronomic extravaganza? It's your choice.

Alongside the central meeting room, The Hub has a separate break-out space, with tea and coffee-making facilities, a sink and microwave, along with a bank of high stools, USBs and sockets. If you need to nip out to make that essential call, send an important email or get away from the gang for a bit of headspace, this is your place.

We also have washroom and toilet facilities within The Hub for comfort breaks.

Outside & the Five Acres of The Heaning Estate

Outside there’s a Lakeland slate terrace with a tennis table and outdoor seating. On a fine day, why not take your meetings outdoors, hold a savasana in the sun during your yoga workshop or, organise a friendly knockabout of ping-pong over lunch break with colleagues? The only limit is your imagination.

With two large car parks for guests, you don't need to worry about where to leave the motor.

Of course, you also have the five acres of The Heaning Estate to stroll around, clear your head and think great thoughts. All whilst you're swaddled in the luxurious, designer-led interiors of the beautiful accommodation across the estate.

Reasons to choose The Hub at The Heaning

A workstation in luxury? A yoga retreat with the best of accommodation? A family get-together in the most memorable surroundings? The Heaning Estate is, quite simply, your only destination in the Lake District.

And once you've got the room booked, what else will you need? We know great people. Chefs, wine suppliers, local producers of meat, cheese, bread, jams, musicians, entertainers, florists, tablescape decorators. And that’s before we’ve got you on the Lake in a kayak, paddling on an SUP, up a fell to take in the views, or hurtling through the forest a mountain bike.

Ask our amazing team at Lakeland Retreats and we can advise.

The Hub is available exclusively for guests of The Big House or those who have made full estate bookings and can be booked for a day session, an evening or for the entirety of your stay. For more information on pricing, please speak to Lakeland Retreats. The price from Lakeland Retreats is for room hire only. All extras are charged separately.

We hosted a yoga retreat at The Heaning and we used The Hub for our daily yoga practice. The space was perfect, it was modern and minimalistic that fit with our brand perfectly. It was warm and cosy so our guests were very comfortable. And the adaptable lighting made it easy to switch from energising morning yoga to creating a relaxing ambience for evening sessions.

We were lucky to hold our annual directors’ planning days at the Heaning Estate and what an incredible venue and experience. Staying in the Big House for two days with all of our team, the décor and touches were better than any 5 star hotel we have experienced with these days before. It was great for all Directors to have their own space to relax outside of the workshops and to experience the grounds surrounding the area. The House is in beautiful surroundings with views overlooking the gorgeous landscape. The bedding and soft furnishings are to the highest standard - more than you would expect from a house rental – we especially liked the Heaning bodywash and body lotion! The Hub was the perfect space for our workshops with access to the VC facilities easy to use and Michelle organised the room ready for us in the morning with refreshments, alongside all the catering for lunch and snacks throughout the day. Michelle and the team organised everything for us and were on hand for any extra help we needed. Lastly, we wanted to have a dinner at the house which we were able to organise through the Heaning Estate with a local chef. The food and service was amazing with local Cumbrian Lamb and all local ingredients. We will definitely be looking at an annual return trip.

I recently had the pleasure of experiencing this hidden gem, and it exceeded my expectations on every level. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the stunning surroundings. The estate itself is a testament to elegance and sophistication, set amidst the picturesque beauty of Windermere. The Hub, situated within the estate, provides an atmosphere that is both serene and invigorating. The meeting facilities at The Hub are top-notch. The conference rooms are equipped with modern technology and amenities, making it ideal for productive business gatherings.
