Experience Comfort and Charm at Every Turn at Sunrise Cottage

Sunrise Cottage is nestled in the elevated charm of The Banks, situated on one of the highest roads in the village. This delightful cottage is part of a row of traditional Lakeland slate terraced cottages built in the mid 19th century to house the local mine workers.

Perfectly located, this cosy retreat offers direct access to the surrounding open fells, with the village's delights just a leisurely 10-minute stroll downhill. Sunrise Cottage boasts stunning views overlooking Coniston Water and the picturesque Grizedale hills beyond.

As you step through the front door, you're welcomed into a warm and inviting lounge featuring a smart TV and a log burner, perfect for those cozy winter evenings. Continue through to the kitchen and dining area, where you'll find modern appliances, a beautifully crafted dining table, and a selection of books to enjoy. The ground floor also includes a convenient utility room equipped with a washer, storage for muddy boots and wet coats, and a W/C.

Ascending the staircase, you'll discover a stylish bathroom with both a bath and walk in shower. To the left of the hallway, a charming twin bedroom awaits, while to the right, you'll find a spacious king-sized bedroom with ample storage and stunning views. Further along, there's a sitting room with a comfortable sofa and TV, providing a perfect retreat for relaxation or entertainment.

Lovely, comfortable, well-appointed cottage with gorgeous views. The lane is tiny; I strongly recommend NOT arriving in the dark, as we did.

The cottage is exceptional, the quality of everything inside is of the highest standard. It was very cosy, and within a very short distance of Coniston village and great walking routes. The parking is tricky, as the garage allocated is too small for a standard family car, but we parked at the bottom of the hill and made the short walk to the cottage. It was tricky when loading and unloading too, but the quality of the cottage outweighed the slight inconvenience of the parking.

We had a truly delightful week at sunrise cottage. The property was pristine with everything you would need for a family break. A really beautiful location with many hikes and adventures right on the doorstep. We would definitely stay again.
