Our stay at Sunny Bank Cottage was fantastic, we were made to feel so welcomed by the owners. The location is great to access both Bowness and Windermere. The entire house was absolutely spotless. Communication from Lakeland Retreats was fantastic, with details on everything we needed. Highly recommended for a stay in the Lake District.

Very newly renovated lovely place with everything well presented. Super clean and tidy. Kitchen, bathroom lacking a few things but was supplied after a day. Comfortable & easy access to Windermere & Bowness by feet. Thanks

Beautifully renovated and decorated house. Very spacious and comfortable for our family. 10-15mins walk to Windermere centre or Bowness-On-Windermere. In a quiet suburban street, very peaceful. Would highly recommend the stay!

A delightful stay at Sunnybank Cottage with my partner and parents exceeded our expectations. Its prime location, just a 15-minute stroll from Windermere Central bustling with cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores, as well as a quick 15-minute walk in the opposite direction to the serene Lake, made it the perfect retreat. Despite initial concerns about parking, it was absolutely fine and we were able to fit our Audi Q5!! The cottage itself was a haven, precisely mirroring the charm depicted in the photos, and equipped with all the essentials for a short stay. It's evident that the host, Michelle, and her team, meticulously curated the space, anticipating every guest's need. Heartfelt thanks to Michelle and her team for creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere, making our first family trip with my partner an absolute delight.

The Sunnybank Cottage was absolutely like a second home away from home. It was spotless, has a very nice layout, and plenty of space. It has every amenity you would ever need for a short or a long term stay, a well-equipped kitchen and good appliances. The refrigerator is an under the counter one if you're planning with that space in mind, but it was the perfect size for our 10-day stay. It is in a great location with about 10 minutes walking distance from Windemere's central area, with some restaurants a bit closer. I'm glad we chose it for our Lake District stay, as everything we wanted to see was never more than an hour's worth of drive away. It has parking for "1.5" cars, meaning it's a very narrow driveway that leads to the back area, where you can comfortably get out of one car, but if you parked another in front it would be very challenging to get out of. We had one car so no problem there, and I believe the listing mentions one parking too :)

Wow! What an amazing house. Exceptional clean, to the point that everything felt new. It seemed that everything had been thought of in advance to help the guest feel at home and make the stay very enjoyable. Would love to stay there again.
