A beautiful few days in the Lake District after our wedding, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot! The location and home was ideal for everything we wanted and there is the most delicious pub just down the road. I would definitely be recommending! Thank you so much for making it a home from home!

A lovely, relaxing stay! We felt right at home. The Stables was spotlessly clean, with lots of amenities. A helpful guide book was provided (alongside a bottle of bubbly!) to help us plan our holiday. A beautiful area and lovely surroundings. Easy to reach the nearest towns but far enough away that it was peaceful and quiet. We would love to visit again!

Absolutely beautiful. Loved every minute. The cottage smelt divine when we entered, the Pure lakes Diffuser was lovely. The bed was very comfy the amenities were fab. The gardens were also lovely lots of birds and views to die for. The only one niggle was the sofa!. After all day hiking just wanted to sink to something comfy. It was a bit hard. Michelle’s place was a fabulous location, meticulously clean & well decorated. The master bed was extremely comfy, please tell me what mattress that is please! Wet room was brilliant also. Only gripe would be the sofa, but we were out the vast majority of the time so it didn’t matter at all! We will be returning very soon and thanks again for the brilliant stay Michelle. 5* all round from us both xx

Fantastic stay! More than enough room, amazing decor and super cute bathroom on top floor - easy to find with clear instructions how to find the property! Perfect location. Super clean, will definitely be booking again in the future when we return! Only thing that we didn’t love was the TV but other than that PERFECT HOLIDAY HOME 🏡

The cottage was beautiful, and had the most amazing views. There was lots to do near by, it’s in a great location. The local guidebook was extremely useful and we used this on multiple locations. The property was perfect and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

The property is sympathetically renovated and beautifully furnished.
The cottage exudes calm and is lovely and quiet set in the most beautiful grounds of the Heaning Estate.
Windermere is a 15/20 min walk away and there are amazing walks from the doorstep!
I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

We absolutely loved our stay at this Cottage! It came well equipped and felt so cosy. The bed was so comfortable! The only negative was the sofa is not very comfortable for 2 to chill on. Apart from that we loved the cottage and all the little complimentary bits that were provided. We would definitely stay here again.

Such a lovely week at Stable Cottage, close to Windermere but peaceful and tranquil
. overall it was exactly as we expected. A couple of things though that stopped it being a 10/10 were - the sofa is extremely uncomfortable for 2 to relax on for a evening - we ended up either one of us sitting on the floor or we bought the chair from the bedroom. - there was no dishwasher tablets but thankfully we bought our own - the baking trays stick badly and only 1 saucepan was a challenge. - we would have loved to have bbqd but appreciate closeness of neighbouring cottages prevented us. - the wet room being downstairs off the lounge meant we kept the blinds closed for our stay to prevent passing walkers looking in on us. Regardless of the few points above we did really enjoy our stay - the location was fantastic, cottage was of a really high standard l, views amazing and the little info guide was incredibly helpful.

Wow, what a place! The property was clean and well presented upon arrival, and the estate itself is absolutely gorgeous! If you didn’t want to leave the site, and just stay in the cottage and take in the views, you could. Windermere is a stones throw away and whilst it is a bustling place, the cottage and estate have a quiet and calming feel to it. I would 100% recommend anyone and everyone to come here, we’ve had a beautiful stay and we really couldn’t say anything negative about our experience. Thank you to our host for providing such a beautiful property!!

Absolutely fantastic place! Located in a beautiful setting with a short drive to Windemere/ Bowness. The cottage was immaculate with everything you could ask for and the bed was extremely comfy. Myself and my husband spent our 1st wedding anniversary at the stable cottage. Michelle and Gerry were so attentive providing exceptional service. The booklet from The Heaning Estate covered everything from sightseeing, spa days, restaurants and takeaway options, these little touches made the stay more comfortable and relaxing. The Stable Cottage was superb, clean and most of all cosy. Location is local to Windermere local attractions. The weather wasnt great to explore the Lake District, however the stay at the stable cottage was so cosy, we were more than happy to stay in and watch a movie and relax. Lovely experience, on our drive back to Birmingham we were already thinking about our next visit. Definitely would recommend to friends and family. Thank you to The Heaning Estate and Lakeland Retreats.

The Stable Cottage was a fantastic base for us to explore the wonderful south lakes. The cottage is of the highest standard and our stay was an absolute joy. The Heaning Estate is a real 5 star venue for a peaceful stay in the Lake District. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

We had a week at Stable Cottage. Lovely little cottage which is decorated and equipped to a really nice standard. The bedroom is lovely; it was so nice to lay in bed and to hear the water feature. Lakeland Retreats who manage the property do an excellent job because it was spotless and fresh.They were also very helpful and accommodating with everything - thank you! The estate itself is very pretty with some nice little walks around the grounds and down the lanes. It's only 5 mins drive into Windermere town. If it's a school holiday I'd recommend parking in the Windermere School campus. - only £4 for 4 hours, and only a couple of minutes walk to the town.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay here at the Heaning Estate staying the Stable Cottage. The location was great as it was very peaceful and quiet.The cottage was beautifully decorated, had everything we needed for our stay and was definitely luxurious.We especially loved the bedroom which was very spacious and the bed was so comfortable. It was lovely to waking up to the birds and the sound of the water feature each morning.We also enjoyed eating breakfast on the private terrace when the sun was out.All in all, we had a wonderful stay and we will certainly return in the near future.

Amazing stay in The Stable Cottage! Surrounded by beautiful grounds, 5 minute drive into Windermere and a very stylish cottage!
The welcome packs and small touches were lovely, especially for me the Christmas tree! All the tech was very up to date and everywhere was immaculate.
The only thing for us, is that the sofa wasn’t very comfortable, but everything else was 5 star! Thank you x

The cottage is absolutely beautiful, it's the perfect place for a couple especially during the cold season. The area is amazing also, you have many shops very near the cottage. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We also had a Christmas tree wating for us when we arrived which was amazing, the star of the living room. Highly highly recommended.

We had an amazing stay here over a long weekend before the 2nd UK Lockdown took effect. It's a lovely secluded property with plenty to do nearby and some beautiful views of the sky at night.
The apartment felt very new, clean and modern. The finishing touches were lovely (fresh clean robes and slippers) and very welcome.
Would highly recommend and looking forward to staying again

The stable cottage was a lovely place for two, however there were a few things that were annoying with interior. The shower/ wet room is off the sitting area and There was nowhere to hang towels dressing gown whilst showering without them getting wet, so had to leave on sitting room floor. The modern sofa was uncomfortable and no side tables at sitting height was annoying. The toilet fan was on lightly even when off and was annoying at night. The rest of the decor interior was very well thought out and very modern👍
