CHARMING COTTAGE STYLE FACILITIES SET AGAINST A MODERN COLOUR PALATE

Step into the welcoming hallway where you’ll find a handy understairs cupboard, somewhere to put all your outdoor weather gear and head straight through to the newly fitted kitchen, a welcoming space with accent lighting and modern grey units fitted with solid wood countertops that beautifully compliment the original flagged flooring below. Head left into the lounge with quality laminate flooring and a colour palette of soft greys with a large comfy sofa and matching snuggle chair to relax into whilst watching the SMART TV and DVD and warm your toes on the wood-burning stove. The dining suite is strategically placed in front of the bay window with a view towards the garden.

Stairs from the hallway lead to the ‘no shoe zone’ first floor where you’ll find a Kingsize bedroom with fitted furniture and a single bedroom, both sharing in a modern house shower room with a large cubicle, basin with illuminated mirror above and WC.

Outside, an enclosed cottage style garden sits across the path from the cottage, a lovely place to sit and listen to the nearby babbling brook while reading your favourite novel or listening to your favourite playlist. Private off-road parking is available for one car through the gate and you can pull up directly outside the front door to unload.

Please note: the private, gated drive is a little steep down to the cottage. Do take care of young children when near running water.

Modern, cosy and clean with a powerful shower in the bathroom and comfortable sofas in the living room a perfect base for walks straight from the front door. Perfect for a couple or small family. There is a good local bus service, costing £2 which is a great day out. Free and spacious car parking at the property. Beautiful views with Scarbeck river right at the bottom of the garden. We would love to stay there in future.

Great wee cottage. Fab location as can walk into Ambleside centre and lovely walks from the cottage to Rydal Mount and other places. The cottage is very cosy, comfortable as we are a family of 3 so suited us. Everything you need to cook a meal if you’re staying in is in the kitchen. Even had a little flask so we could carry out coffee with us :) Lovely front garden, we saw baby deers in it early in the morning, beautiful views of the sheep on a wee hill out the window. Would recommend if visiting the Lake District!

This cottage has been one of my favourite airbnb places! A cosy cottage with beautiful decor. Appreciated the thoughtfulness of Michelle and Adam in putting up a Xmas tree and little xmas touches in all the rooms. The heating was on and a surprise gift of Prosecco welcomed us. We were snowed in while there but couldn’t have been in a warmer or cosier cottage than this one - loved it and didn’t want to leave. Ambleside charming and enjoyed the walk to Grasmere on Coffin Rd, before snowfalls, (although hard to find - need to go to Rydal Hall to find it)

Our second visit to this lovely property ideally located just a short walk away from Ambleside. The cottage has all the facilities needed to make it a home from home and the almost rural setting is a great place to relax in after a days walking. The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the welcome gift was a nice touch. Ample parking and easy to find with a bus stop close by serving Ambleside, Windermere, Grasmere, Keswick and beyond.

Lovely home with wonderful finishing sand super cosy. We loved the view to the field upstairs and to the garden downstairs. Even though near a road you’d never know. Good proximity to everything. And when you get back it feels like a lovely home from home.

Lovely little cottage in a perfect location. Through no fault of their own the heater broke on the first day of our stay. However, they were very quick to get in contact with myself and provided a solution to this problem by giving extra logs for the log burner for our stay. The rest of the property had no issues with heating other than not being able to control the temperature, Michelle however was very good in choosing temperatures throughout the day to keep the property warm. In the welcome book it states that there is sufficient water for adequate showers per day. We found that a maximum of 1.5 showers a day before we needed to press the boost button, we found that this made no difference to shower water temperature. Although we had some issues they were quickly solved and helped to make our stay enjoyable and we look forward to visiting the lakes again.

We really enjoyed our week staying at Rushbrook with our 1-year-old. The cottage is in a lovely setting, convenient for Ambleside but feels secluded in gardens/fields. The kitchen is really well provisioned and we enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable living space.

We had a brilliant stay. The cottage was lovely and had great views with sheep’s grazing on the fields. Location is good with a 5 minute walk into the town centre. Clear instructions on how to use everything in the cottage along with excellent suggestions of the various walks around the area. Would highly recommend staying here. We loved it.

A beautiful cottage, well equipped with everything you need. Lovely homely chill out feel. Great to wake up & see the hillside & sheep from your bedroom window. Perfect location to walk into Ambleside & walk some of the fells from your doorstep. Bus stop right outside the drive, Rydal Hall & Rydal Waters are a lovely morning or evening short stroll also on your doorstep. A beautiful cottage in a perfect location. Nothing negative to say about Rushbrook.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at Rushbrook cottage. The location was perfect for our family trip and we had lovely walks in the rain and sunshine. The cottage was so homely and the little touches of a Christmas tree, bottle of wine and log fire made the perfect end to our Christmas break. The attention to detail was welcomed especially in the kitchen. We have gone back to work and school feeling very refreshed and relaxed. Please pass on our thanks to the owners. The booking system was also so simple and the key safe made it easy to access the property. Thanks again.

what a lovely place. Arrived to find a Christmas tree up & some lovely subtle decorations dotted about the place. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment & plenty of wood for the log burner was supplied. The place was extremely clean & felt very new. We loved spending Christmas there. The location was also perfect as we were only a 5 minute walk from town. Far enough out for it to be quiet but close enough to walk with 2 children. Ambleside is perfect for families. Good choice of restaurants, there is also a park & you can walk to windermere and the pier in 30 minutes. We would definitely love to go back to this property

Our stay at Rushbrook was delightful. We have stayed in many cottages in the Lake District over the last 20 years and Rushbrook is certainly one of the best. The location is great for walking routes from the house and close to Ambleside. The cottage is warm, very well equipped and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and hope to return soon.

This is by far the best AirBnB place I have stayed at. The location is perfect - beautiful hiking trails right on the doorstep and the perfect distance from town to feel secluded yet only be a 10 minute walk to the shops. And the cottage itself is wonderful, beautifully renovated with obvious love and care and with all the little touches that make a stay away that extra bit special. Extremely well equipped kitchen, toasty warm, fast wifi and plenty of space to dry wet gear. I hope to be back.
