Do A Little Or Do A Lot – It’s Your Holiday

When you arrive at Applethwaite Hall, via the long driveway, and park in your private space, your shoulders will drop and your smiles will widen. Peace and tranquillity await. Go through the main wooden doors, head upstairs and you’ll find Robyn’s Nest on the second floor – the spacious apartment is all on one level. Brought your walking gear? There’s plenty of room to stash it in the generous hallway. Unpack first or pop a cork and celebrate the fact you’re both here? Decisions, decisions.

Relax in the evenings after days out with a long, luxurious soak in the tub in the beautifully tiled bathroom. Or start your day with an invigorating shower – walk-in, of course. Next door is the comfy bedroom with its view of the fells and king-size bed just made for lie-ins.

Down the corridor is the elegant, light-flooded open-plan living space. Sink into the sumptuous corner sofa and flick through the channels on the smart TV with a soundbar. There’s free Wi-Fi, too, of course. And a selection of games you don’t need a signal for. Hungry? If you’re not eating out, the modern kitchen and dining area has everything you’d expect and high-spec Neff appliances to boot.

Prefer wildlife to nightlife? Head outside to the large, shared garden and woodland and see what you can spot – badgers, birds and deer have all been known to make an appearance.

Brilliant communication reacted quickly to a very late booking. The apartment was a nice size and positioned well. Very quiet and pleasant grounds with easy access to all of the lakes. Thanks

We had a lovely stay at Robyn’s Nest - the apartment was beautiful and exactly as described. The hosts kindly left us some milk and biscuits and the apartment is very well equipped for cooking your own meals. It’s only a 5 minute drive into Windermere and Bowness and is an easy drive to plenty of hikes in the Lake District. We would definitely stay again.

Everything about the flat was of a very good quality. The shower was fabulous, all the kitchen appliances were Neff which worked very well for me. The TV with sound bar and access to loads of channels was better than we have at home! It was lovely to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and listen to the birds singing in the trees that can be seen from the windows. Being on the 2nd floor also gave some excellent views of the hills. The flat is in a beautiful building, Lakeland’s Arts and Crafts, which has been very tastefully modernised.
