Poet’s View Cottage – A Historic Lakeland Retreat with Stunning Views

Nestled on the edge of romantic Grasmere, in the prestigious Huntingstile area, Poet’s View Cottage offers an idyllic escape with stunning, uninterrupted views of Grasmere Lake and the surrounding fells.

Steeped in history and charm, this quintessential Lakeland cottage-style apartment was once the grand ballroom of a stately home built for the grandson of William Wordsworth himself.

Step through the front door door and set the scene as your eyes are immediately drawn to the view of the lake through the windows ahead of you.

Enter into the cream shaker kitchen with farmhouse dining table and down into the cosy sitting room with deep cushioned sofas and ample window seating to take best advantage of the outlook.

?The spacious house bathroom provides a shower over the bath and two twin bedrooms are just down the hall. Reached via a steep narrow staircase is a pretty double bedroom with en-suite bathroom.

The mature gardens, private lawn and patio areas provide uninterrupted views of Grasmere lake and her surrounding fell range. There's parking for 2 cars but do note that there are steps from the parking area up to the property. Poet's View Cottage has electric heating throughout and has a private water supply. Please note: Due to lease restrictions we cannot accept more than 4 people at this property. The staircase to the first floor bedroom is very steep and narrow so do take care.
