Osprey

This is probably the nicest Airbnb apartment we've stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and welcoming. The location is excellent, so close to the main shops, restaurants and the lake but on a quiet street. It was great to have the parking space for the car. The instructions on how to find the apartment and gain access were clear and helpful. The apartment is spacious, well stocked with all the essentials you'll need. I can't recommend this place enough and hope to be back again. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay, the hosts were very helpful and we're grateful for such a beautifully presented flat! We highly recommend a trip over to Muncaster Castle - it's an hour drive but well with it. beautiful gardens, very fun weapons hall (we did archery & ase throwing) and an incredible "Sky Hunters" bird show. P.S The pizza at BASE is phenomenal.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay in Bowness. The hosts were responsive and very helpful. There’s a great guest book full of recommendations and a very helpful guide folder from the hosts also. The location is tremendous, apartment was immaculate and it was a steal.

Absolutely loved our stay, Osprey is located in the perfect place to go for lovely hikes, and to enjoy the town of Bowness too. The flat itself was made welcoming and cosy. It had everything we needed and we couldn’t recommend any more. Will be staying here on our next trip up to the lakes!

Brilliant stay, lovely location and very homely

Great place to stay in Bowness - good location, with a bus stop only 2 minutes walk away, making it a great base for exploring the Lake District. The flat is comfy and stylish with everything you need - it even had some board games! Highly recommended.

This was our first time in the Lake District and we were very happy to have stayed at Michelle’s place for it! The flat is stunning and cosy at the same time, with great aesthetic and amenities that make total sense. The parking space was handy and large enough for a compact SUV. The location is great, within walkable distance to both Bowness and Windermere which were our two favourite local towns. We loved the little handbook filled with local recommendations! Overall, very accurately described on AirBnB and a fantastic place to stay during your time in the area. 10/10 recommended!!!

This is our 5th or 6th time at the Osprey & not the last. The apartment has everything you need, it's close to all amenities & parking also. Most of all it's a beautiful place to stay. Loving the new touches in the apartment, it is a lovely home. The weekend went far too quickly but a great time had......until next time.

Thanks for a great stay. We would recommend the foot passenger ferry for £1 from Cockshott Point to Claife Hights & Beatriz Potter attractions. Low Wood Bay Spa was worth the money.

Lovely break in the Lakes and Osprey was a great base. Super place to return to and relax after long walks.

Had a lovely few nights at Osprey. It is our second stay at Pattinson House and everything was just as good. We had everything we needed and everything is close and within walking distance. Would definitely recommend for a break away. We climbed up Scarfell Pike which was a really good day out. we will deffently be back.

Michelle’s place in Bowness was a perfect base to explore Windermere and the surrounding areas. Excellent spec flat with everything you need and perfect distance from Bowness as you can just walk 10 minutes down the hill and you’re right in town. Would love to stay again one day!

Excellent well looked after property. Few minutes downhill walk into Bowness. Ten to fifteen minutes walk to Windermere. Worth the few minutes walk from Bowness to Windermere Jetty museum to sit more quietly by the lake. Also from centre of Windermere the walk down Birthwaite road to a quieter waterfront. Great coffee and brunch at Homeground coffee. Also don’t forget a great coffee at The Rookery next to Booths

Fabulous flat to stay in. Near all the amenities but quiet location. The flat is exactly as the photos but the quality of the kitchen, bathroom etc was outstanding. Michelle also had a nice wee bottle of bubbly awaiting us on arrival and all the essentials such as tea bags, sugar, coffee, pods, and dishwasher tablets were there as standard. It was such a lovely holiday and made extra special by this lovely accommodation. The easy check in made life. Very easy and a nice start to our holiday. We arrived, unpacked and got on with our adventure. Would highly recommend Michelle place and will definitely book again.

A lovely apartment and perfect base for exploring The Lake. We have so much more to see here. Loved the free parking for dragging muddy hiking stuff up and the hall to hide it all away.

We have had such a wonderful weekend in Bowness. The apartment is a home from home and somewhere we will certainly visit again! We enjoyed a gorgeous walk up to Orrest Head and down to Ambleside. We walked up to the waterfalls then enjoyed some lunch, returning back to Bowness via steamboat. The Magic Roundabout in Bowness is lovely for food and gorgeous cocktails. Urban Food House, lovely for breakfast. However, you cant go wrong, we have not been disappointed in anyway since arriving. Lovely village, stunning views, friendly people, perfect apartment. We had a great stay in Windermere. The flat is well-located, well-equipped, and has been furnished nicely. We’d happily come back in the future!

What's not to love! Location, parking, amenities, such a beautiful apartment. We are regular visitors to the area & over time found that we preferred the freedom an apartment gives. This apartment has everything, thank you Karen + Paul, you do have a gorgeous place, stunning. House of Siam - Fantastic Thai food Mela - best curry house Hole in't Wall - great pub, staff & a proper pint. Want to go out & about, jump on the 599 bus & get a day rider. You can visit Grasmere, Ambleside + Keswick, using this ticket all day. Plus the bus stop is on the main road at the end of the street. Thank you, S+G

Michelle was extremely friendly and helpful from the get go. The place was perfect for a little get away, warm and homely. Just a 5 minute walk into Bowness for some food and drinks and a 15 minute drive to get into Ambleside the location is perfect for all types of stays. 10 out of 10 would Recommend and will hopefully be staying again.

We had a lovely 3 night stay here, finding the place and parking space was easy, 1 minute walk to a local pub and 2 minute walk to Windermere on bowness and a 2 min drive to Windermere. The apartment was very homey, clean and I would definitely recommend to friends and family and would stay here again

We have had a lovely week's stay in this beautiful apartment! We both work high pressure jobs in the city, and this trip was the breath of fresh air we needed. If you travel to Ambleside, be sure to walk up to Stock Gyll Waterfalls - stunning. Other hidden gems are surprise view and Easedale Tarn. Thank you for being the perfect base for our adventures!

We had a brilliant stay here. The location was great, an easy 5-10 minute walk to Bowness, and an easy 10-15 minute walk to Windermere. The apartment was clean, cosy and well stocked.

Really nice flat close to touristic attractions.

Faultless! The apartment was very easy to find and has its own reserved parking space. Access via a key safe was simple. Inside, everything was spotless and there’s all you’ll need for a short stay. Comfortable bed and sofa and there’s a modern TV with all the up to date apps (Netflix, Prime etc). Very short (5 minute) walk to the shops/restaurants and a couple of minutes further to Lake Windermere. Highly recommended.

I have had a wonderful week here! The flat is well presented and is very close to the lake and bus stops. Strongly recommend Sam's cafe restaurant I have had their Pad Thai and Thai milk tea there. For nearby attractions I would recommend Rydal Cave, Grasmere and Keswick they are all easy to get to by bus 555 or 599.Rydal Cave, nice hiking route, wonderful view of Rydal Water.Grasmere, Dove Cottage is worth visiting and gingerbread there is really nice. There are also plenty of shops.Keswick, Derwent Pencil Museum is very interesting. Derwent Water is one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. Spending a whole afternoon on that lake would be nice.Very pleasing stay here and I would definitely come back again.

Lovely flat super location. Spent the week visiting different towns and lovely countryside locations for walks and views. Something for all. A very relaxing holiday. Highly recommended.

Perfect flat in the perfect location in Bowness. Lovely quiet street within walking distance of the boating pier and Peter Rabbit attraction (perfect for little kids). Plenty of restaurants and things to do nearby.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay at Windermere and Bowness enhanced by the superb studio apartment 'Osprey'. The accommodation was exactly as advertised and the fixtures and fittings, the detail and the standard of finish is absolutely first class. If you want a quality place to stay in an ideal location, this is it.

Such a beautiful and pristine apartment. Great location, we slept with the windows open and it was so quiet all night. Self check in was very easy, directions were very easy to follow and great communication. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely flat in a great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at Osprey - a beautiful place with excellent facilities. Excellent quiet location and within walking distance to the train station, shops, restaurants and the Lake. We highly recommend the Boardwalk Bar and Grill for both food and drinks, Choccobar for their beautiful hot chocolate, and Windermere Canoe and Kayak for brilliant (and affordable) watersport activities. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at Osprey again in the future, and we've recommended it to friends and family!

Osprey is a lovely flat, extremely well appointed and beautifully decorated. It had everything we wanted and its location is perfect for both walking into Bowness and to Windermere. We used the open-top bus to get around and there are stops only one block from the flat. There are numerous places to eat in the local area and we can especially recommend 'Hooked' on Ellerthwaite Square, Windermere, if you are a seafood lover. We were blessed with some really fine weather so our mini-break staying in Osprey turned out to be a blissful holiday for us.

Incredible place, great location, could not fault it. Anyone that stays there is incredibly luckily.
