Enter Oakland West into the magnificent kitchen dining room offering both formal and relaxed seating, a large expanse of units wrapped in cool granite surfaces with a sizeable double oven, 7 ring hob and 2 dishwashers to make light work of the washing up. A separate larder houses two American style fridge freezers, important if you are going to properly self-cater for the majority of your stay and there’s a handy laundry with cloakroom and WC just off the kitchen. The superb lounge has bespoke leather seating for all 14 of you, set around a wood-burning stove, a large wall-mounted TV with Firestick and direct access to the terrace via French doors. A cosy snug/library with feature wallpaper also has a TV and comfy seating for up to 7, ideal if you are wanting to separate the grownups from the children for a while.
On the first floor are four of the six beautifully presented and individually styled bedroom suites; one twin and three kingsize, each with private en-suite bath or shower room. Bedroom five is a ‘Duplex Style’ bedroom and has a glorious Velux Cabrio balcony from where to take in more of the stunning views. The sixth bedroom on the second floor is a quad with four single beds giving greater flexibility for you and your party, again, with a super en-suite shower room.
OUTSIDE AREAS
Outside, Oakland West has ample parking for up to 7 cars with the added benefit of a charging point for a hybrid/electric vehicle. The patio to the front gets the morning sun whilst the large, enclosed lawned garden to the rear overlooked by a sun trap terrace enjoys the evening sun; both areas have ample furniture for all to enjoy the outside when our typical Lake District weather will allow!
