FASHIONABLE DÉCOR MARRIED WITH QUALITY FITTINGS TO ENSURE YOUR EVERY COMFORT

From the front, step into the lovely lounge room with sumptuous seating arranged around a warming woodburning stove that takes centre stage. The new, Shaker-style dining kitchen sits beyond here with a large range cooker and quality, integrated appliances wrapped in cool quartz worktops, the cupboards well stocked with plenty of crockery and other items to ensure you have everything you need. Beyond here is a useful utility room with a washer, dryer and freezer and access to the enclosed rear courtyard where you’ll find a table and chairs to enjoy that first cuppa outside or an aperitif before heading out for dinner in the evening.

Stairs from the lounge lead to a single bedroom and Kingsize bedroom to the rear of the cottage sharing in a family bathroom with a beautiful roll-top bath, perfect for enjoying a post-walk soak with your chosen holiday novel or playlist. The master Super King bedroom is located at the front of the cottage and is blessed with an en-suite shower room – please ask at the time of booking if you would prefer twin beds.

Loughrigg Cottage has an enclosed courtyard garden to the rear with a table and chairs and although the property doesn’t have its own parking, a permit is provided for one vehicle which can be used on a number of car parks in the village and throughout the South Lakes which can prove quite a saving on the overall cost of your holiday.

Just a wonderful place - one of pir favourite ever. Very easy to find, warm and lit when we arrived. Wonderfully cosy and spacious and well equipped. We were 4 friends meeting for a much needed relaxing weekend and it perfect. Sadly the weather was awful but that made the fire, sofas and lovely ambience even more appealing. Special thanks for the very speedy action when we had a minor heating problem. Would highly recommend this wonderful place.

Outstanding location in the heart of Ambleside and short walking distance to fabulous restaurants, pubs, the cinema and supermarket. Clear instructions and good access making arrival close to midnight effortless which was much appreciated after a ten hour car journey . Great accommodation especially the kitchen and living room although the 3rd room is small with no cupboards or bedside table at the head of the bed. Back access to the courtyard and an outside tap made cleaning the dog after long walks much easier. A parking permit for the full duration of the stay to use the carpark across the road as well as others in the Lake District was a joy. Overall a hugely enjoyable stay.

One of our favourite air bnbs so far. The house was fantastic; clean, cosy, great log fire, fab kitchen, lots of space and comfy bedrooms. Ideal location for shops, cafes, bus stop, walks. We stayed a week here and felt like we lived in Ambleside. Would recommend to everyone.

Absolutely lovely cottage, well maintained and very clean, everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Located right in the middle of Ambleside close to shops and restaurants. Opposite car park and bus terminal, which we thought might be noisy but it wasn't. Very quiet at night so got a good nights sleep on some very comfy beds. Parking permit was a welcome addition, as parking in Ambleside can be a challenge. Shame that car park opposite was only for 4 hrs. We left car in long stay and it wasn't a problem for us (long stays do get very busy, but it was over a bank holiday). Would definitely return.

Our stay at Loughrigg exceeded our expectations. The cottage is in a great spot, warm cosy and a parking permit for the long stay car park in the next road. It was exceptionally clean and very well equipped with every possible pot and pans that you might need. Another added bonus was the enclosed courtyard making it very dog friendly🐶We have been coming to Ambleside for years but Loughrigg is by far our favourite

Such a lovely place, great central location, spacious, comfortable, well equipped, clean. We echo everything said in the other reviews. The long stay parking pass was a real bonus especially when we discovered Lake road long stay car park, one street away (behind the library). You can also park right outside for an hour during the day and unlimited between 6pm and 10am. We would definitely recommend this property and host. The only thing is the listing location was confusing (it is on King street not Knott street). Great location once located!

We had a wonderful stay at Loughrigg. The house is in the perfect location. It's spacious with a perfect enclosed outside area for your dog and children. The property is clean and smart and had everything we needed. The little extras such as the car parking permit was a lovely touch, along with the prosecco. We would highly recommend and definitely book again.

Michelle’s cottage was even lovelier than the pictures, very spacious and the bed was so comfortable - we really felt at home there! The location is perfect, so central so a very short walk to anywhere in Ambleside, and only a 10 minute drive from other major towns to visit, the parking permit was so useful for visiting Bowness/Windermere/Grasmere. Would definitely stay here again.

A really lovely, cosy home in a central location. Despite being so central - the tour buses literally pass the front door - it was very quiet. Handy for all of the pubs, shops and cafes in Ambleside and a great base for lots of walks. We would definitely return and recommend Loughrigg.

We had a fab stay at Loughrigg cottage - the bed was very comfy and the kitchen, living room and outdoor area were fantastic for relaxing after a long day walking and paddle-boarding (we did the latter nearby at Low Wood Bay Sports Centre which is about a 5min drive from the cottage). We will certainly come again - I only wished we could have stayed longer!

A great place to stay. We’ve stayed there a few times before but the renovations are superb. Really comfortable, great facilities and it’s just a nice place to be. Ambleside is a good base for exploring the South Lakes and this cottage is well placed near to all the pubs, restaurants and shops. You can choose to leave the car in the car park opposite (parking permit provided that also provides free parking in many other South Lakeland car parks) and take advantage of the great walks that start/end in Ambleside. With the bus terminus across the road as well you can easily go further, into Grasmere, Langdale, Coniston, Kendal etc. door to door. We’ll be back.

The cottage is everything you could ask for...... Perfect location, residence parking permit a real bonus, walking distance to all the shops/cafes/restaurants/bars, and photos don't do it justice as the cottage is lovely in every way. Felt like a home from home, and the only negative was packing up after one week only wishing we had booked two! Would recommend to family and friends!

We had a lovely family weekend in this cosy cottage. In the heart of Ambleside it’s so close to all amenities but at the same time in a really quite location. Cottage is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great that we could bring our dog too who had a lovely time walking the hills and swimming in the lake. Will definitely book again.

Luxurious Cottage in lovely, lively Ambleside ! This lovely cottage has been lovingly refurbished with a keen eye on luxury and design. All comforts are attended to and the whole feel of the place is like a big luxurious hug. It is much more spacious than the pictures show and extremely comfortable for a family of 4. All of Ambleside's many attractions, pubs and cinemas are literally on the doorstep and the wonderful 599 Open top Bus is across the road - ready to ferry you off around nearly all of the lakes - a real treat and very inexpensive. A real gem of a place and a wonderful rental company - 100% recommend x
