The house is in a great location and in easy walking difference to pubs, shops and playground. Plenty of room for the 5 adults and 4 children in my party and everything we needed for our stay. Good communication from Lakeland Retreats too.

Hugely recommend! Great for a family & friends stay - with dog! Mix of ages, all enjoyed the space, bedrooms were large, spacious, beautifully decorated, clean & linen perfect ! Fabulous location, 30seconds to an amazing local pub! Great for teenagers to safely walk to the local park & village. Able to walk the dog safely from the house too / huge bonus! We will definitely be back - great host & responses to my questions & slight concern with the Washing machine which was sorted ASAP. Perfect break - thank you 🙏

Very comfortable, warm, spacious house. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and good quality appliances. (apart from oven gloves, which were missing! ) . Great power shower and lovely log burner were great after a day out walking. Beds were comfortable. The pub nearby served great food. We will definitely return.

We had a lovely week at High Gowan in this quieter part of the Lake District. The house was just right and the location really suited our small grandchildren. A playpark just over the road, the river, great coffee shops and pub, bus and train nearby. Thank you
