A luxurious barn conversion with stunning views of the lake, village, and fells. The barn retains its original features and has been cleverly arranged to provide ample space for social gatherings.
The ground-floor sitting room is complete with a large flat-screen TV, Wii console, and access to a shower room and WC. The top-floor living area enjoys breathtaking views through dual-aspect windows. Also upstairs is the kitchen, finished with stainless steel appliances and granite worktops, and a dining area that leads to the furnished terrace and sunny enclosed garden where you may catch a glimpse of the badgers who visit regularly, and occasionally red squirrels.
There are king-size and twin bedrooms, both with excellent views over the valley to the fells beyond, and a quiet double overlooking the garden to the rear. All are well served by the family-size bathroom with a power shower over an air spa bath.

Lovely cottage with wondeful views, sociable open plan living and nightly badger! Kitchen fully equipped, games and books to borrow. Plently of hot water for all and comfy sofas - all great after long and hilly walks. A stroll into Grasmere. Roomy accommodation for six. We have a great time and would recommend.

A spacious and comfortable home in a fantastic location. The welcoming touches and attention to detail were very much appreciated. We enjoyed family barbecues in the garden, and we loved seeing the badgers visit the patio at night. Mostly, we explored the region either on foot or via the excellent open top bus network, and it was nice to be able to leave our car secure in the garage. The extra sitting room, the workspace, and the vast book collection were big hits too! Highly recommended.

This is a fantastic location to be in the Lake District. The village is beautiful and so close to walk with nice cafes, restaurants, small shops, hikes and walks. The house is very comfortable and clean with a beautiful view from the open plan kitchen living room. We also loved the badgers visiting us at night.

Wonderful - perfect location, really cosy and a spectacular view. Enjoyed walks and mountain bike rides from the door. Bonus having a large enough garage that car could fit with a 4 bike rack on the back. Would love to stay again if we get the chance.

Great property with absolutely everything you could possibly need right down to badger and bird food! We really appreciated the effort put into the little things such as the welcome hamper and leisure access.
This property is by far the best we have stayed in so far and we have been coming to the Lakes for too many years to mention!
Lakeland Retreats are proving themselves to be head and shoulders above the competition...please keep your independent, personal touch.

This was a lovely, well-appointed home. Our family of 6 really enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, spacious, with beautiful views and a gorgeous garden. The hosts were communicative and check-in and check-out was very smooth. The home was just what we were looking for and we would love to return again.

Well equipped accommodation, best furnished and equipped property we have stayed in, in the lakes. Everything was provided we could think of. It was clean and in excellent decorative order. The beds were comfortable. Setting of the cottage and location was perfect. The views from the cottage were wonderful and its garden was lovely, full of birds to watch. Welcome tray and toiletries all provided and even peanuts for the badger and birdseed was provided. Would definitely stay again.
