The extensive open plan living area is divided into a sumptuous lounge with deep-cushioned velvet corner suite, perfectly placed to enjoy the views from the enormous window or to watch the 55 inch TV.
The dining table is set into a deep bay and separated by the superbly appointed kitchen with a full complement of quality Poggenpohl units and integrated appliances.
On the upper floor, you’ll find a King bedroom with TV and en-suite double-ended bath, shower cubicle, hand basin and WC. The second bedroom is a twin room (please ask for superking) with TV and adjacent shower room with hand basin and WC.

Great Gable at Pullwood Bay is a beautiful property and the location is so peaceful and tranquil. As soon as you commence the drive up to the house you feel the stresses of normal life easing away from you. The view from Great Gable is just the best with stunning views of Lake Windermere from the bay window. We enjoyed the luxury of the apartment and would love to return to it to relax each evening, looking at the twinkling lights of Ambleside across the Lake.
We had a couple of issues and contacted the Lakeland Retreats team on the out of hours number and they reacted promptly, efficiently and with empathy so that our holiday was not disrupted, Gabrielle ensured everything ran smoothly for us- we can’t thank the team enough for our lovely stay. We have stayed in Great Gable before and we will definitely return.
We also received a Wecome gift of a bottle of Prosecco on arrival which was greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Great Gable is a superb location for the lakes, close enough to Ambleside without being in the town. Very easy access to get out and about. The apartment is spacious and fabulously appointed. It’s lake front location is a joy to relax in and the grounds are beautiful. This is a very special place for anyone who is looking for a Lake District base to either explore or just relax. 10 out of 10 for our stay in Sept 23

Great Gable is a fabulous apartment in beautiful grounds on Windermere Lake shore. We had a wonderful 2 weeks exploring the Lake District and the local area. Also spent time just chilling out. The views are spectacular and no day is the same.
The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable, well appointed clean and quite.

This was our second stay in Pullwood Bay but our first in the Great Gable apartment. We absolutely loved it! The apartment is spacious on both floors, the living and kitchen / dining areas on the first floor were great. The living area was very comfortable with fantastic views of the lake, looking across to Ambleside, and of the nearby peaks such as Wansfell and Red Screes. Upstairs is equally spacious and comfortable. Both bedrooms are large and there is plenty of storage space. The en suite of the main bedroom is really nice and the bathroom next to the second bedroom is a good size. The facilities throughout are a really high spec, from the shower room on the first floor to the kitchen utilities and the upstairs bathrooms.Pullwood Bay is so stunning during the day and so quiet and peaceful at night. We saw deer, rabbits, herons, birds of prey and a few varieties of water birds. The private jetty is perfect for swimming and boating, and the walk to Wray Castle is very picturesque.We will be back next year!

This is an amazing place to stay. The views are incredible and the photos dont do it justice. It is so peaceful and quiet and I've never felt so relaxed in a place before. Definitely worth a stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Great Gables! The apartment was immaculately clean and very well furnished. We had an issue with the integrated microwave and Lakeland Retreats responded very quickly and had a replacement delivered within a couple of hours. The best part is the incredible view! Well definitely be returning!

We booked the Great Gable apartment at Pullwood Bay Estates via Lakeland Retreats. This is an excellent company to deal with and made the booking easy from start to finish. Lakeland Retreats answered all my questions about Covid at the time of booking and reassured me that if we were unable to travel due to restrictions we could move the booking to a later date. I also had further queries concerning hypo allergenic bedding prior to the holiday and Lakeland Retreats investigated this with housekeeping and quickly came back to me with answers. On arrival at the property there was a lovely welcome package of local produce waiting for us. It was a delight and a very nice surprise. The property itself was extremely clean and well maintained and everything was of very good quality. The views from the apartment across Lake Windermere were absolutely stunning. The apartment itself was also stunning and presented a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere to relax and unwind in.I was impressed with the email contact from Lakeland Retreats during and after our holiday. It was like having a virtual arm around you whilst on holiday asking if you have any issues or queries not to hesitate to get in touch with them. Lakeland Retreats are a professional company to deal with and very customer focussed. We will definitely be booking again with this company as they are friendly and helpful and have an excellent portfolio of properties.
