The location is brilliant. The house was clean and exactly as described, fully equipped. We had plenty of room between 4 of us. Once we arrived we didn’t need to use the car for the whole week. Walks from the front door, pubs and lake in walking distance. Only comment is to be aware that you need a permit to park on the road outside the house. Otherwise you will have to park in the local car park. The closest is 2 minutes away a street away from the house. It’s not an issue as long as you prepare to off load your car quickly when you arrive then move it to the car park. Don’t worry though there is a parking permit for the car parks inside the house ready for you. This did not affect our enjoyment at all as we didn’t have to use the car at all.

Very clean. Very welcoming. Great location. Beautiful house with good features and bathrooms stood out. Parking information was unclear and we got a fine as a result. Recycling wasn't easy.

Lovely property, right in the heart of Ambleside but in a quiet backwater. We started in another property but because of issues with the boiler, we were immediately moved to Greystones Cottage. This property had everything we needed for a fortnights stay and we were sad when the holiday came to an end.
