End Cottage is an amazing place to stay, it's quite secluded with stunning gardens and surrounding views. It's only a short walk to Windermere and its amenities. The cottage itself has been finish to a really high standard and has a nice cozy feel. Thank you!

The Location is amazing. Ideal for going for walks. The town centre is only a few mins drive away. The Cottage itself was clean, tidy and had all essential items needed to make it an enjoyable stay.
It was a lovely experience and I highly recommend it.

Great location, easy to find. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely visit again. We also visited the Watermill pub nearby which we highly recommend. The only thing we found was the shower being in the living room downstairs a little bit awkward. Great stay, thank you very much

The End Cottage accommodation was brilliant - very modern. All areas were bright and spacious - all furnishings top notch. Loved the Hifi Square so much already placed an order for one. The best cottage we have stayed in and will look to revisit in the future. (For kitchen use suggest add a slotted turner for frying pan use and skimmer for poached eggs)

We had a PERFECT stay here for a small break away and couldn’t have asked for more. The place itself had all you needed for a short break, and was the perfect location to venture out from. It was peaceful and quiet which was well needed after a busy day at the lake or after a hike. Will definitely be returning x

Good functional modern cottage in a quiet location. As "oldies (72+)" we found the stairwell steep and a bit precarious, so maybe a rope could be useful as a handrail.

Absolutely loved our stay in End cottage… It ticked all the boxes for us. We were thrilled to find a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us after our long journey and milk in the fridge. Everything we could have wanted was provided from a tv that enabled us to log into our streaming services to blackout blinds in the bedroom and a bottle of water should we need a drink during the night. Our cottage was the perfect base for us to get out and visit many of the lakes close by and ideally placed for a walk into Windermere or to the water mill pub and micro brewery… (I can recommend the beef pie..!!!). Being a EV driver having a charge point on site was excellent. I can honestly say I cannot think of a negative thing to say about Michelle and the team. We felt so well looked after and catered for… thank you ❤️

The whole weekend was just amazing. The cottage and area surrounding were beautiful, the interior of the cottage itself had a real home feel to it but was also very luxurious! It was a 5 minute drive into the main town itself too which was great!

Stayed at End Cottage for 4 nights and had a wonderful time.
cottage equipped with all essentials and some home comforts provided too. Michelle also provided high chair and travel cot for our 8month old, which was a great help.
End Cottage set in beautiful surroundings and only a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk to Windermere .
would recommend to friends and family and would love to visit again in future .

Absolutely stunning place we stayed in the end cottage they have thought of everything. Location is beautiful and quite with beautiful views. Plenty of information given before you come of walks, eating places courtesy call before we came to ensure we know all about the property. Not far to walk to Windermere. We will definitely be returning next year.

The premises are so welcoming, comfortable, well equipped and well maintained. Combined with a lovely location we really couldn't have asked for more (well maybe better weather but returning to a wonderfully hot and spacious shower from the rain made up for the downpour we got caught in). I recommend a car to get out and about in if you want to go further afield and/or a sturdy pair of walking shoes. The local pub is well worth a visit too. Definitely recommend a stay. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

We can highly recommend The Heaning Estate - we stayed in End Cottage for a mid week break and didn't want to leave - the Cottage was finished to a very high standard and was very cosy. Extremely clean throughout with a bed that was so comfortable and the room so dark we had trouble waking up! Fully catered for your every need with cleaning products and tea / coffee & Prosecco. We even did 2 loads of washing. Only a 20 minute walk into Windermere where there are lovely bars / cafe's and shops. Only minor disappointment was that the log burner was electric but it still gave a lovely cosy glow. We will definitely return and hopefully be able to fill the Big House for a family getaway.

We stayed in the End Cottage which we found to be excellent. The whole place was clean, tidy and felt both extremely welcoming and calm upon arrival. Every small detail within the lodge is attended to, with great facilities for self catering whilst also being a 5-10 minute drive directly into Windermere. We found being just outside of the main town to be perfect, as you could dive into the attractions of the town for the day and then retreat to the quiet and beautiful grounds that surround the cottages. All in all a wonderful stay that we would recommend to anyone.

The Heaning Estate is really well located just outside of Windermere. The apartment was beautifully designed, we had everything we needed for a really relaxing stay. The bed was lovely and comfy too! Will definitely be booking again if we come up to the lake district.

We had the best long weekend staying in End Cottage. The cottage has been finished to such a high spec you instantly feel at home when you arrive. Its in such a great location with Windermere down the road and so many places are an easy scenic drive away. There are plenty of footpaths and walks to do from your doorstep if you dont fancy driving too. The outside courtyard is great and despite being next door to other cottages it all feels very private. We didnt get to enjoy the outside space as much as we wanted as the weather wasnt always on our side but the interior of the cottage was so lovely we didnt want to leave anyway! The weekend was made extra special as we got engaged whilst we were there and loved celebrating with a bottle of Prosecco in the beautifully kept grounds. Well definitely come back and stay longer next time! Thanks so much to all the Heaning team.

From the moment we drove down the private lane to The Heaning Estate, we knew this was going to be a very special place to stay and it certainly is.The beautiful grounds are immaculately kept and End Cottage has everything and more you could want or need. The rooms,decor,furniture etc are top class as well as luxurious. The shower room is the best ever been in and plenty gorgeous toiletries to use.The bed and pillows were dreamy. Kitchen so well equipped and as everything else here - top notch. You will not get any better attention to detail anywhere. There's nothing that hasn't been thought of.From top to bottom the property is sparkling clean and made us feel safe during Covid times.The Cleaning Team from Lakeland Retreats are doing a stirling job - and their Customer Service overall is faultless. They have gone over and above to put procedures in place to keep Client's safe.The views are spectacular and the light early morning and evening are stunning.To come here in April and have blue skies and sunshine as we have has been the cherry on the cake. It really is heaven on earth and we feel blessed to have spent our first few days of freedom here. It has fed our soul.We look forward to returning at some point and certainly highly recommend The Heaning Estate as a tranquil,luxury place to stay. The Nook was fantastic - a tiny home away from home with everything you need for a week away. The bed was really comfortable. We loved it. The Heaning Estate is beautiful and in a great location. I will definitely be recommending it and coming back in the future..

Lovely long weekend away! Everything was spotlessly clean, with cleaning products supplied for during the stay as well. The estate in itself is very impressive and located in such a great spot. The cottages are lovely and cosy and make for a great place to escape for a couple of days in the countryside. Cant wait to come back!

Visited the Heating Estate for the weekend to celebrate a special occasion. The estate itself was beautiful and the cottage we stayed in exceeded our expectations. The cottage was equipped with everything you'd need for a getaway, from cooking utensils to complimentary products. I will 100% be visiting again and I enjoyed every second of our stay at the End Cottage - especially the extremely comfortable bed!

A lovely week exploring the Lake District. The estate was perfect as the base- the location is great. Everything was as expected, the attention to detail is superb.
