Just returned from another perfect weeks stay at Craghill - we have been coming for several years here with our much loved black Labrador Fern. Well equipped kitchen, with comfortable lounge & bedrooms. It’s perfect location is great for walks out the front door like Loughrigg Tarn (a favourite of ours). Handy for a walk to the dog friendly Talbot Bar too, only 5 mins away for great food & drink. Booked for February/May & November next year. Love it

Thank you to the person with a good eye and a willingness to spend on decent materials who has set up this cottage as an excellent place for a week in the lakes. The woolly sheep theme with oak furniture is comfortable and looks just right. The kitchen is well equipped, beds comfortable and the garden facilities are an absolute delight. With four possible places to enjoy from the top-of-crag table with views, to the neat little patio table by the kitchen to the magically lit bench under the trees overlooking the river there is always a choice. The location was perfect also for the choice of easy grade walks available direct from the door. Best cottage we’ve stayed in the lakes!

Just enjoyed our 7th holiday at Craghill. Just as enjoyable as the 1st. We would not even consider any other cottage in the Lakes. Craghill has everything one could possibly need internally and its location is also perfect for many walks from the back door rather than having to take the car every day. Already booked for holidays 8 and 9 later this year and 2023

Our first time at this cottage and what a lovely cottage it is. Clean, warm and cosy. It’s handily situated - you don’t need to drive far for days out. Beautiful walks from the door too and the scenery is just stunning especially when you walk up the path to Colwith Bridge. There’s an enticing seat at the top of the garden which I looked at longingly, but maybe another time when it’s warmer! For anyone who has dogs, there is walking literally from the door - very handy for early morning and bedtime walks. The rear hallway was very useful for coats, boots and dog stuff. The cottage has everything you could want or need. I’d love that cooker at home!

Our fourth visit, but the first since 2015. Wonderful to see Craghill Cottage is still as good as new. Still so comfortable, still cosy - the perfect all-weather cottage. Craghill is obviously cared for by the owners, Lakeland Retreats, housekeepers and other visitors. The walks are glorious too!

Fantastic week. We only went out in the car once during our stay for shopping as there are so many great walks from the door. Our favourite spot in The Lakes - we hope to return again soon.
