Up the stairs to the first floor where you’ll find a handy desk on the landing, ideal if you have to check in with work during your stay and to the left, through the arch is the modern fitted kitchen with a large range cooker with 6 ring gas burner and double ovens, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. The views from here are fabulous and washing up certainly won’t be a chore when gazing out towards the Fairfield Horseshoe! Through to the lounge dining room with exposed beams and lovely views towards the fells. Comfy seating is arranged around a feature fireplace and patio doors lead out to the terrace and garden area beyond. The second attractive bedroom is a double with exposed beams and woodland outlook sitting next door to the house shower room with modern tiling, large cubicle, basin and WC.
Outside, there’s off-road, private parking for one car. To the rear is a terraced patio with table and chairs which backs onto the sloping fellside garden, mostly laid to lawn edged with colourful, mature shrubs and trees. Secure storage is available in the garage for bikes, canoes etc.

Really enjoyed our bank holiday weekend at Coppertrees. Great views from the top of the garden and it was amazing to see a red squirrel. The bed were comfy, shower were great and the kitchen well equipped.

A great location with views. Quite a steep walk up from the village as a result. Lovely seating in the garden. Very well equipped kitchen. Comfortable lounge. I couldn’t fault the place and we are already rebooked for next year.

Excellent location. Just a few minutes walk down the hill into the village. Particularly liked the great views of the mountains due to the elevated position of the cottage. Very clean and tidy, modern and well equipped. The neighbours who live in the property next door are lovely and friendly. A very quiet position. A perfect stay and would definitely recommend staying here.

We have stayed at Coppertrees 3 times, twice this year. The accommodation is extremely comfortable, homely and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cutlery, plates, pans etc. Plenty of towels and the beds were very comfortable. The views are incredible and to be able to sit outside was the icing on the cake. We didn't have very good weather this time but we still had an enjoyable stay. There is quite a steep climb from the town but we looked upon that as good exercise. We would certainly recommend Coppertrees and hopefully will book again in the future.

Extrememly comfortable, spacious and well equipped home-from-home. Its incredible location just above the town and stunning views of the fells from the living room, kitchen & garden made this the best house we have ever stayed in in Ambleside. We will be back.

Very good location, views over Fairfield Horseshoe, and close to town for bars, and the Stock Ghyll waterfall. Fittings all clean and high quality, carpet felt brand new. No issues and would use again.

Lovely house, clean, comfortable and in a lovely town. Close to the center of town, near all the restaurants, pubs and bakeries.
The house is located on the side of the hill above the town centre and requires a steep climb to walk up if you don’t want to use a car.

Really enjoyed our stay at Coppertrees. The property was as described. Quietly positioned on the edge of Ambleside, it is just a five minute walk from the centre of town. Its a steep walk back but you are rewarded with wonderful views of Ambleside and the countryside.
The property is well specced, comfortable, spotlessly clean and having a parking space was ideal. The kitchen is a good size and is fully equipped with everything you’d need, should you wish to cook at the property. If not, there are plenty of places to eat in Ambleside, and the information book gives you plenty of recommendations. The bed was comfy, and the shower was nice and hot.
When we come back to the Lake District we would look to return to this property and would definitely recommend to others.

Lovely property and very well situated. For our family of four (children aged 9 and 7) it worked perfectly for access to Ambleside and the local walks that were appropriate for the kids. Good also to have the maps and games available for use.

Great location only a few minute walk to the town centre. Lots of wonderful walks with beautiful views near by or a short distance drive. Lots of restaurants and bars for the evening. Accommodation was gorgeous, had everything we needed and more, even the little things of some milk, for a cuppa upon arrival. There are lovely views of the mountains from The kitchen and lounge. Lots of space which was perfect. Will definitely come again! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Coppertrees is a charming property, nicely laid out and homely. The views are so picturesque its like a painting whichever way you look and the location makes the whole of the lakes within easy reach. Michelle provides everything needed to make the stay wonderful, even down to a parking disk to use in Ambleside. We strongly recommend staying - you wont be disappointed.

A lovely cottage in a good location above Ambleside, easy to walk into town (a bit more difficult heading back with the incline). Coppertrees had everything we needed for the week, it was clean, comfortable and well presented. We used it as a great base to explore the local area, given how much there is to do from Ambleside we only moved the car once.

A lovely, comfortable apartment with super views and a lovely terrace for sitting out and enjoying the birdsong. Beds are comfy, showers are hot and there are plenty of crockery, pots and pans. we would recommend wholeheartedly. A car is needed, realistically, unless you are super fit!

We had a wonderful stay in Ambleside. The location was central and just a few minutes walk away from the centre and an ideal starting point for lots of lovely walks. The house itself was spotless and had a dedicated parking space. There was great views of the surrounding hills and the neighbours were lovely. When we go back to the Lakes we will be looking to stay here again if possible.
