Bowfell is a delightful, two-storey Lakeland stone cottage in the heart of the vibrant town of Ambleside. A stylish and thoughtful renovation provides attractive, light and airy open-plan living, with comfortable and contemporary accommodation. Much of the original character of the cottage has been retained, including local slate flooring, a beautiful traditional slate mantle over a centre-piece wood burner in the lounge and exposed beams in the top bedroom, from where lovely views of Wansfell can be seen across the rooftops.

The light and welcoming lounge with comfortable leather sofas allows for easy relaxation by the wood-burning stove after a day’s walking on the fells, while the open-plan feel makes this a great space for bringing friends and family together. The well-equipped kitchen/dining area which opens out to the lounge, is where cooking and socialising become natural companions.
