Renovated Traditional Cottage, Just Yards Away From Numerous Shops, Pubs, And Restaurants

In the heart of Keswick, nestled amidst the stunning landscapes of the Lake District, lies "The Plosh" - a captivating cottage with a rich history. Named for its original purpose as a watering hole for horses, "The Plosh" still exudes an abundance of character and charm. This beautiful Keswick terraced house is believed to have been constructed during the late 1760s to the 1780s and once served as lodgings for the hardworking miners of Borrowdale.

Welcome to this charming, recently renovated cottage right in the heart of Keswick. You'll be delighted to find it just a stone's throw away from an array of shops, pubs, and restaurants.

As you step inside, the Ground Floor welcomes you with a cosy living/dining room featuring a gas stove and a Smart TV. With enough room to comfortably accommodate up to five guests, it's the perfect choice for families, friends, or couples seeking a spacious and inviting getaway.

The kitchen awaits, equipped with a breakfast area, an electric oven, a gas hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, a washing machine, and French doors that open onto the balcony.

Heading up to the First Floor, you'll discover Bedroom 1, where a comfortable double bed beckons. Bedroom 2 offers two single beds, while Bedroom 3 provides a single bed. The bathroom, complete with a shower over a P-shaped bath, a toilet, and a heated towel rail, ensures your comfort. You'll have everything you need, including gas central heating, gas, electricity, bed linen, towels, and Wi-Fi. Please remember to enjoy some fresh air on the balcony, where you can relax with seating at your disposal.

When it comes to parking, you'll have a permit for a nearby car park, and there's also additional on-road parking just 100 yards away. Families with little ones will appreciate the travel cot and highchair. Plus, there's a convenient storage space for your muddy boots, bikes, kayaks, and equipment-cleaning hose. Smoking is not allowed in this cosy retreat.

Nothing much to improve. A few more toilet roles maybe. Not sure if it was just enough to get u going 😁 but not enough for a week but no real problem. The automatic safety light outside main bedroom can turn off while you are in toilet late at night and doesn't re-activate before you reach the drop by the staircase. Maybe increase time or have another one outside toilet to activate on way back. Caught me out a couple of times especially as 3 steps one side and 4 other side. I did discover the torch in drawer as we packed up but probably wouldn't have used it anyway. But other than that all great. Thank you very much.

Great stay at the cottage which was well Equipped, spacious, clean and comfortable. Ideally situated to access everything Keswick and surrounding area has to offer and car parking was included in the cost. We would definitely return.
