The venue and location were excellent as long as you don't mind walking into Ambleside (15-20 minutes), we would have given it a five but the cottage is starting to show some small signs of wear and tear.

A perfect place to stay in the lakes! The location is great - very quiet and only a short walk to Ambleside. It’s also got everything you need if the weather takes a turn and you can’t get out much!

We as a family of 4 (two small children under 5) loved our stay - the place was clean, well equipped, comfortable, warm, tastefully decorated and perfectly completed with a beautiful garden, which we had to ourselves throughout our stay for a week over Easter. Our children loved playing with their Lego in the living room, the space was just right, and the fact that it's thickly carpeted made it less stressful, especially with our youngest toddling everywhere. The surrounding areas are dreamy, everything was within walking distance. Highly recommend the caves, waterfalls, and the lovely Waterhead cafe with the tallest scones and icecreams. We will be back again and again and again! Thank you!

The cottage was as described and clean and comfortable. Clear instructions how to reach the cottage were provided and check in was easy. The rooms are spacious with plenty of amenities, nice to have the front porch to take muddy and wet clothes off before entering the main house. Within walking distance of Ambleside either scenic up and other or along the path. Plenty of places to eat locally and didn’t have to use the car.
