Take in The Fine, South Facing Views from The Strategically Placed Conservatory

With its own private entrance, enter into a stylish, oak-fitted kitchen with an excellent range of appliances including an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer and useful drying cabinet, ideal for when you’ve been caught in a Lakeland shower. The sitting room, just off the inner hallway has a gas fireplace, TV with Freeview/FreeSat and a DVD player, the owners have provided a library of CDs and DVDs for your enjoyment. The separate dining room lends itself to family brunches and dinners and once you’ve eaten, take a seat in the adjacent, south-facing conservatory to enjoy more of those fine views from the comfort of your armchair. Both the sitting and dining room have patio doors leading directly out to the terrace.

Three fashionable bedrooms are prettily decorated and offer comfortable mattresses to ensure a good nights rest, one double, one twin and a single. The large double and twin bedrooms have large fitted wardrobes and all three rooms share a contemporary house bathroom with a powerful shower over a P-shaped bath, handbasin and WC.

Outside, there’s a south-facing, terraced garden to enjoy at the front with a gently sloping lawn and little stream – do be sure to supervise your little ones. Outdoor furniture is provided. A second entrance door, off the main inner hallway, provides a second entrance to the outside which is also used by the other property here at 1 Lane Head.

Parking is available on the driveway for two cars.

Please note: The other portion of the property shares the same entrance gate and has access to its own garden and parking area within the grounds.

Fabulous position, wonderful views. Good off-road parking. Kitchen and bathroom are quite dated and there is only one toilet. Air fresheners in all rooms annoying particularly in lounge.

Excellent location and spacious rooms, plus the conservatory really opens up the views, no matter what the weather. The on site parking is very useful, overall an ideal place for a stay in Ambleside.

Lakeland retreats are an agency that manages several properties around the Lake District, they are very responsive and friendly, would definitely recommend! House had a couple maintenance issues that were quickly resolved. I was staying with 4 friends and had plenty of room for all of us. Thanks for the stay!

Fantastic place with great views and only a 5min walk from the centre of Ambleside. Loads of room and warm in the winter and spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend!!

Good location 5 mins walk above Ambleside. The conservatory allows you to savour the views around you. The shared internal door with a small flat above is not an issue as it's locked and the glass is distorted. Spacious ground floor, plenty of room for a family of four with two teenagers. Good WiFi speed. Looking forward to returning

I have stayed in Ambleside many times, but this flat is the best place that I have ever stayed. The flat is large and the views are stunning. It was very clean and the booking experience was very easy. I will definitely be visiting again.
